I can remember as a very little girl I would line up my dolls on my bed and teach them from the chalk board on my closet door. I started tutoring in elementary. One of my earliest jobs was as a speech lab facilitator at Pepperdine University. I would work with students on their speeches for class. Over twenty years later, I am still passionate about empowering others to communicate with confidence.

Her passion for speech communication fueled her pursuit of a dual B.A. degree in Speech Communication and Political Science from Pepperdine University. Before entering college Tonia was an international exchange student in Japan, while in college she continued learning about various cultures as a study abroad student in Italy. After college, she decided it was time to leave Southern California and went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia. She also completed a Ph.D. in Communication at Georgia State University. Dr. Tonia has since taught Public Speaking, Intercultural Communication, Business and Professional Communication, and Voice and Diction for various universities over the past 20 years.

Now I train leaders...
I started off training students and now I train leaders in the art of effective communication. I have worked with various organizations to strengthen their brand by clearly communicating their message to the world. I help to build teams with interpersonal communication training and prepare leaders to enter a global market with intercultural communication workshops.
