Dr. Tonia Phanor
Early on I realized that I loved to speak and my effectiveness as a communicator was a key to opening doors and achieving success. My passion for communication fuelled my pursuit of a master’s degree in interpersonal/intercultural communication and a doctorate degree in Public Communication. I trained college students in communication for over 20 years and consulted as a communication coach for various companies.
In 2005, the demand for communication training, beyond academia, prompted me to start a consulting company that empowers professionals to attain new heights by improving verbal communication skills. Today I am the founder of Phanor Consulting. I work with individuals who are leaders in business, media, and entertainment to improve their communication skills. I also help them to brand their authentic voice as a leader.
In 2007, I hosted the “Expressively Speaking Radio Show” on WATB 1420AM. In 2008, I began television taping as one of the host for the “Women of Destiny” show which aired on AIBTV network. The “Women of Destiny” show empowered women in every area of their lives. I am also a published author of two books, with a third on the way.
